What are Humecons?

Humecons are those special unique emotions which you can express on your face. You can create some or all of these human emoticons with your photo at HUMECONS You can also share them with other friends who have created humecons to emote themselves. Yes, you can also view your friends profile and have a look at all the ways he has emoted himself.

Humecons help you enrich your personal and official communications. These human emoticons, can be created for Instant Messengers (IM), email and blogs. Humecons add that special creative twist to convey special emotions of love, happiness, sadness, fun and excitement.

But how do I create humecons?

It is very easy and exciting. First, you register yourself with Humecons. Then you upload a photo of yours. And next - Ah there you are! – EMOTING YOURSELF IN YOUR DIFFERENT MOODS.

How do I then use humecons?

Once you have created humecons, just download your favorites and save them in a suitable folder on your computer. Now these can be used whenever you wish to emote yourself. You can use them in your communication with family and friends and social groups by just copying and pasting them or sending them as attachments. Yes, you can send humecons as any other photo and have fun.

Where do I start?

First you need to register yourself. Now, how do you do that? Here’s how.

Click on “New User” link on the top right corner of Home Page. Just answer a few simple questions like your name, birthday, gender, email address.

Next fill in the unique user name you want to be recognized with, and also a unique password. Make sure you create a password which you can easily remember but others can't. Confirm the password.

You will then be required to type out the security code shown on the page. The last step is to click on the “Create Account” button.

There you are! All set for the next big step.

I am really excited. But can you elaborate on how to create my Humecons?

Sure. Now that you have registered with us, you can sign in with your credentials. The sign in facility is available at the top of the page.

As soon as you sign in, you will be directed to your Dashboard page. Click on the ‘Upload Photo’ tab.

Enter a title for your photo. Next browse for the photo that you want to upload. Then type in the tag for your photo. Tag is a label with which you identify the particular photo from your other photos. Type in the security code as shown. This is to stop automated postings. Click on ‘Submit’.

It will take only a few seconds for our application to detect the faces in the photo that you have uploaded. You will then be directed to the second part of the uploading process - Select Face.

Humecons.com’s state of art technology detects all possible faces from the photo. Now it is upto you to select which face you want to play around with. So select the face and click on Next.

Bingo!!! – Here’s your humecons – humourous emotional icons. Don't you think it is mind-blowing ??!!!

Now, are these the only emotions that are possible?

No way. You would want to check out the various icons that can be generated on your face.

Once in the 'Edit Icons' page, you get to choose from 3 different categories: Basic Emotions, My Moods and My Feats. You can also choose the size of your humecons.

Basic Emotions, as the name suggests, denote the basic emotions expressed on your face - smile, frown, wink, kiss etc.

My moods allow you to express your different moods at different times of the day.

My feats are different feathers in your cap, those that you want to show off.

Basic Emotions also come in different color tones - Natural (indicating your natural complexion), Conventional (Yellow color icons that has been in vogue for ages now), Pencil Sketches (Monotonic in nature).

Select the category and size and click on the ‘Create Humecons’ button. The various humecons would be generated and are made available to you.

Is there any photo specification?

We are proud to say that humecons can be generated in any type of photo. But it is very good if photos are taken in a good lighting. A full front view photo with clear features of the user will help provide the most accurate expressions.

Photos with more than one faces can also be used. The state of art technology that use at humecons makes it possible for us to detect every face in the photo.

I did come across something called Avatar. What is that?

Avatars are animations done on your personality. You get to wear a new look every day. You can experiment with our unique range of hairstyles, goggles, attires. In all, you are a new you everytime. That’s what is avatar all about – your various incarnations.

Seems fun? How about it? Can you explain some more?

We would be glad to. Like we answered in your previous question, avatars are animations done on not just your face, but your entire personality.Go to your dashboard page and click on the ‘Avatar’ tab. Your face is displayed in the first segment. You can choose from a wide range of hairstyles (Both gentlemen and ladies), attires, sunglasses.

How do I create those avatars?

In the My Album section, when you move the mouse over the photo that you have uploaded, you will have four options to choose from. Select the 'Edit Avatar' option. This takes you to the 'Edit Icons' page where you can create your avatars.

Now look at the different hairstyles -both ladies and gentlemen and choose the one that most fits the face. You may want to choose something funny- that brown, red, golden or black hair. just drag that hair-do on to your face.

Then choose the goggles you would like to wear. Do the same thing and drag the goggles chosen and put it on the eyes of the photo.Just have a look at the different unique attires and choose the one you like to wear. Click on that attire.

Oh is that you? Unbelievable right? A new incarnation...Emoting Yourself for your friends to enjoy and envy too..

Save your Avatars and you can just use it whenever you want to straight from the 'My Avatars' section in the dashboard page.

Is humecons a social network too?

Yes. Humecons does help you build a network of friends on the net and share common interests. In addition you can check out your friends' avatars and their funny icons. Humecons is planning to include various features to help network more with your friends in the near future. So stay tuned.

Can I include humecons and avatars in e-mails?

Yes, you can insert humecons in your e-mails. It is absolutely easy. Just download these images and save them. They can be used as a background on your e-mail messages or even send them as an attachment in your e-mail messages.

Can I use Humecons with my MSN (Windows Live) Messenger?
